For Immediate Release
Give George A Chance A Voter Shows His Support THE FOLLOWING "LETTER TO THE EDITOR" APPEARED IN THE NOVEMBER 5th, 2006 EDITION OF THE "INDEPENDENCE DAILY REPORTER." A LOCAL AREA NEWSPAPER WITH A VERY LARGE CIRCULATION IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS. I THOUGHT I MIGHT SHARE IT WITH YOU AS THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT IS A VERY SINCERE GENTLEMAN WHO IS AN AMPUTEE AND WHO SOCIAL SECURITY HAS REFUSED TO HELP. SSI STATED THAT MR. PRICE IS ABLE TO ACQUIRE "GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT" AND MUST PAY BACK TO SSI WITHIN 30 DAYS $10,400.00 IN BENEFITS HE HAS RECEIVED. "GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT?" A MAN WITH ONE LEG WHO WALKS ON CRUTCHES BECAUSE HE CANNOT AFFORD A WHEEL CHAIR OR ARTIFICIAL LIMB. A MAN WHO WORKS LESS THAN 24 HOURS A WEEK AS A DOOR GREETER AT WAL-MART JUST TO TRY AND MAKE ENDS MEET? WHY DOESN'T SSI TELL THOSE WHO THEY SEND CHECKS TO FOR DEPRESSION THAT THEY CAN OBTAIN "GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT." (SORRY, GOT ON A ROLL!) I WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN SOME INFORMATION FOR MR. PRICE THAT WILL HELP HIM WITH HIS FIGHT WITH SSI. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY HIS LETTER TO THE EDITOR AND PLEASED THAT I WAS ABLE TO HELP HIM. YOUR WELCOME MR. PRICE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS. Dear Editor: In this race for the brass ring, we have many contestants who are running. I'm sure that all mean well in their intentions and endeavors, but there may be a lot of promises that may be broken from these contestants, because they are human; and we are all prone to make mistakes. That comes with the territory and we as voters have to have the capability to forgive their mistakes if we choose to do so. But once I met this candidate running for Kansas representative, something in me had a strong feeling that he is the one who will try to get the job done if we give him the chance. His name is Jim George and I firmly believe this man has his heart and intentions in the right place. And he has the guts to go forward in victory. There is an old saying "a castle on earth, was once a castle in the sky," in other words, men of old caught a vision and built this castle, and it became a wonder of beauty for every eye to see. This man has a dream (or vision) to help the helpless. Looks can be deceiving, but out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. When the O.T. Prophet Samuel anointed David to be a future king, God told Samuel not to look on the outward appearance, but to look into David's heart. Now, religion and politics don't mix, but all through the Bible we see politics. One instance, the people wanted God to appoint over them a king. Even Jesus said about taxes (tribute), "Render unto Caesar, the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's." Now, this man Jim George, who is running for this position, it's easy to look at him through man's eyes. But have we ever dared to look at him through heaven's eyes? And if this man is bold enough to face tough issues, then we should take a stand and not be afraid to back him up! So, please give Jim George a chance. Let's all cast our ballots in his favor. This position may be the very position that God wants Jim George to be in. I speak for all those in favor of Jim George, I am the voice for them. Remember, think right, think Jim George!
