Republican Immunity
just keeps on rolling

I must have missed something along the way, I am totally confused. Somewhere
along the way I came under the impression that the laws of the land apply to all
people but more and more I am finding that is not the case. Recent events have
shown me that the laws of the land apply to all people EXCEPT Republicans that
are in power. The 3 incidents that I am going to refer to here are not news but
I will use personal references to similar things that happened to me and how the
differences applied.
DICK CHENEY: Not only did the Vice President carelessly shoots a man which in
and of it self is an accidental shooting and would on it’s face value require a
full investigation up to and including charges for misuse of a firearm. But he
was also hunting without a license which under Texas Parks and Wildlife Code
states:
TITLE 5. WILDLIFE AND PLANT CONSERVATION - SECTION 42.025. PENALTY - § 42.025.
PENALTY. A person who violates any provision of this chapter commits an offense
that is a Class C Parks and Wildlife Code misdemeanor.
Not only was the Vice President not charged with any violation (a warning is not
a charge) but the Whitehouse tried to keep the whole incident quite. It took an
outsider to report the news.
ME: My 5 year old daughter had been asking me for sometime to take her fishing.
She had a new kiddy pole and tackle box that her Grandfather got her for her
birthday and she was anxious to use them. I had recently been in a motorcycle
accident and could not stand on a river bank for long so I had not renewed my
Missouri license since I would not be fishing for a while. So on a beautiful day
I gave in and took her fishing. When we got to the river I tied a lure on her
line and she gleefully started casting the lure into the river and reeling it
back in as I sat on the bank watching her. We had been there maybe 10 minutes
when a Game Warden came by and accused me of fishing without a license. I
explained that I was not fishing that it was my daughter. He said that he did
not believe that a 5 year old could fish on her own without assistance and he
proceeded to write me a citation. Missouri Wildlife Code States:
Title 3.DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION Division 10. Conservation Commission -
Chapter 5.Wildlife Code: Permits 3 CSR 10-5.205 Permits Required; Exceptions -
(D) Any person fifteen (15) years of age or younger may take fish, live bait,
clams, mussels, turtles and frogs as provided in Chapter 6 without permit
(except trout permit or daily tag in areas where prescribed); except that fish
may be taken only by gig, longbow, crossbow, snagging, snaring, grabbing and by
pole and line.
When I went to court I tried to point out to the Judge what the code stated and
he refused to listen stating that he too found it hard to believe that a 5 year
old could fish without assistance. When I asked what assistance he was referring
to he stated “casting and reeling in the line.” I was found guilty and paid a
$75.00 fine which I could not really afford at the time being unemployed.
ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER: The California Governor not only operates a motorcycle
without a license but when he becomes involved in an accident he openly admits
that he has been operating without a motorcycle license for some time. The
California Drivers Code states:
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS - California issues the following license classes for
two-wheel vehicle operation: Class M1—You may operate any two-wheel motorcycle
or motor-driven cycle and all vehicles listed under Class M2. Class M2—You may
operate any motorized bicycle or any bicycle with an attached motor. Class C
—You may operate a motorcycle with a sidecar attached, a three-wheel motor
cycle, or a motorized scooter.
You may obtain a Class M1 or M2 license at any DMV office which provides driver
license services. Motorcycle law tests and skill tests are required. NOTE: The
permit and license requirements in this supplement pertain to two-wheel
vehicles.
Not only did the Governor not have a motorcycle license but he also did not have
any of the endorsements to operate a motorcycle on his license as required by
California code. His excuse? “I didn’t know you had to have a license.” His
fine? NOTHING, he received a warning only!
ME: I am riding my motorcycle down a St. Joe, MO street within posted speed
limits when a car turns right from a side street directly in front of me. To
avoid slamming into the side of the auto I accelerate and pass on his left side
just barely avoiding what could have been a nasty accident. A traffic officer
witnesses the whole ordeal but clocks me on his radar at 5 mph over the speed
limit as I avoid the accident. That’s right, I receive a citation for speeding,
a $35.00 fine and I lose points on my license. The driver that pulled out in
front of me was ignored by the officer.
PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Here let me make this as simple as possible, Our
President is guilty of VIOLATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA! Most recently the Fourth Amendment which states:
FOURTH AMENDMENT - The right of the people to be secure in their persons,
houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall
not be violated; and no Warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported
by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched,
and the persons or things to be seized.
When the President is called to answer for this newest violation the Whitehouse
suddenly produces an incident that occurred in 2002 to justify the action. Why
have we never heard of this alleged intervention of an attack on an L.A. public
building before now? Chances are because it is no more than a fictionalized
incident or at best an over dramatized one. What is happening to the President
for his continued violations against the people of the United States? Absolutely
nothing!
ME: Fortunately I have never been guilty of violating another persons rights but
if I did I would deserve whatever penalty the law prescribed. I would not use my
office to sidestep the law.
So what conclusions are we left with? The only one possible. If you are in a
position of power such as being a rich Republican President, a rich Republican
Vice President or a rich Republican Governor the law does not apply to you and
if it does no penalties will be imposed. But if you are a poor everyday
taxpaying citizen you must suffer through whatever the law prescribes even if it
is unjust. Is this abuse of power? You bet it is! What is going to be done about
it? Absolutely nothing! True justice would call for ALL people to be equally
accountable under the law…. Oh wait, isn’t that what the American Constitution
states already?
